Topics
Reference topics
The reference is divided into four topics, following the stages almost every used-car owner goes through. First buying and checking, then ownership, including owning a car of a rare brand, then the paperwork and insurance that stay with the car the whole time, and finally selling. Each topic leads to specific materials: answers, the glossary, collections and a practical article.
Most trouble with a used car comes not from breakdowns but from a question nobody asked in time. The topic map helps you ask them in the right order.
Selection criteria: the question comes up for someone buying, owning or selling a used car; the answer explains a general principle and fits most cars; the advice requires no repair skills, does not advertise brands, parts, shops, workshops or insurers, and does not stand in for official government websites or the texts of laws.
